Education and Research Background
Jian Lin, born in 1977 in Shaoyang, China. Dr. Lin obtained his B.S. degree in Biology from Peking University in 1998 and his Ph.D. degree in Genetics from Beijing Institute of Biotechnology in 2004 . After a postdoctoral training with Prof. George F. Gao at Institute of Microbiology in 2004-2006, he joined the group of Professor Bin Xia as a Co-Investigator at Peking University since 2006. In 2012 he joined SFBC as an associated professor.
Research Direction and Achievements
My research will focus on the mechanisms of novel compounds that selectively kill cancer cells. Our research directions include:
• Discovery of novel compounds that selectively induce cancer cell death;
• Potential genes and signal pathways that participate in cancer cell death;
• Identification of new targets in cancer therapy.
